Out Reach Worker for Canton Woods

Canton Woods Senior Center is currently seeking a part-time position for an Outreach worker. This outreach worker is helping the elderly in need or assisting those in need of community services.

Outreach Workers must meet the following criteria: Hold a two-year college degree in Social related field; or have the equivalent of four-years, full time work and experience in geriatric case work or social work with community/social programs.

Outreach Worker must have knowledge of Onondaga County community service, familiarity with eligibility criteria for all entitlement programs, computer skills and must have a valid NYS license. This position is 30 hours per week.

For docking station along the lock wall, prices are as follows:

5.00 a day for 110 amp

10.00 a day for 220 amp

Cannot exceed 48 hours a month.

During the next week, water chestnut removal will be happening on the Seneca River. During this time the parking lot at Mercer Park maybe used for equipment storage.

The Kayak rental is now open for the season at Community Park.

Volunteer’s are needed at the visitor’s center this summer.

There will be an organizational meeting on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 6:00-7:00 pm at the Baldwinsville Public Library in the Story Room if interested.
